Mare's Nest

Filmed at Le Lieu Unique, Nantes, France. Mare's Nest is an intriguing mix of filmed and live action. Four people and their life size video doubles inhabit a real and imaginary, half-physical and half-virtual space, often occupying both at once. Mare's Nest is a play about double, triple and quadruple lives interacting in the complex, augmented space where architecture and video meet.

This publication contains a selection of bottles from the first year of Amy Sharrocks' Museum of Water project, with a foreword by the artist. Museum of Water is a collection of publicly donated water and accompanying stories. Accumulating over two years in different sites worldwide, it is an invitation to ponder our precious liquid and how we use it. Created by METIS and part research method, part art object, The Shirt is a specifically designed consumer item, manufactured in a Chinese factory, which uses bespoke digital technology to make the people and processes behind its production visible. The Shirt has barcodes on it, and when a smartphone is placed over the barcode, using a bespoke app, it will trigger digital content that reveals the very people and processes involved in making the actual shirt in your hands. The app was designed in collaboration with TheFusionWorks.
